Haircuts for the Boys...

It was time for the boys to have haircuts!

I like my men to have buzz cuts.

I asked this lovely child why she will spend an hour doing her hair for church, but she won't make herself look sweet and lovely for her old ma.Now... I can tell you that I know the answer. I understand that mom doesn't count and there are boys at church who will see her.

It's hard to be 14...

It is hard to be 14.

Hormones are raging.

Boys become interesting.
Hair and makeup suddenly matter.
Everything your parents do embarrasses you.
But, in the midst of the craziness...
You are becoming a wonderful, loving, courageous, beautiful, smart
and amazingly beautiful young woman.

I am proud to call you my daughter.

This boy wanted a drink of his fathers soda (pop for the folks who live around here).

Daddy said no you can't have this.

The lip came out so fast...

and it almost worked.

Cadi is fond of telling him that if he sticks his lip out like that,

a bird is going to come along and poop on his lip.

Next he will be sticking his lip out just to hear the poop story.

How very different... and amazingly wonderful... are little boys!
