Making Memories...

We went to the Discovery Gateway Museum on Sunday. The kids had a blast! Dad and I were exhausted and the kids wore themselves out and totally zoned all of the way home.
Those are the best kind of trips, right?

This is a horrible picture but I wanted you all to see how much fun they had. I had to leave a few of the activities out since I either didn't get pictures of them or they were awful.

I didn't think we would ever be able to get this boy away from this earthquake table. He would build a structure with block of wood and then turn on the table. It would simulate an actual earthquake and he could see how this affected the structure.

My boys the construction workers...

Ari felt right at home with all of the puzzles. We do a lot of these at home. I love that everything is touchable. They really want the kids to get in, explore and discover.

This was an air tunnel. They kids took coffee filter like things and put them in the tube. The air would shoot the filter up through the top and they would float back down to them. This was one of the favorites. There was also a place where you could make your own airplane and see how well it wouly fly.

Dad and Brysen spent time putting these tubes together and then running a ball through them. I think Dad like this one best!

Aubrey and Sydnee loved the media station. They had it set up just like one of the local television stations around here. The could stand in front of a green screen and do the weather or read the teleprompter from the reporters chair.

There was a stage where they could dress up and act out a play. You could even learn about the different jobs performed in the theatre.

Everyone enjoyed the farm area. You could garden, ride a horse, gather eggs or go to the local farmers market and go shopping. Lily loved shopping and Bry loved to run the cash register.

Brysen tried his hand at being a blacksmith. He loves banging on anything so this job was a major fit.

This is a horrible picture and I didn't take the time to rotate it but they also went rock climbing.

The water feature was a major hit!
Everyone loved playing here. They would take balls and run them down the river. They could work pumps and mazes. It was a blast!

The cars were a major hit with Brysen. Well, he is a boy...
He was not only able to drive, but gas up his cars and put air in the tires.

...and it could all be done while dressed as a police man or fireman.

But...
The biggest hit of all...
for everyone...

was the actual life flight helicopter!
The kids learned all about the jobs associated with saving someones life with this helicopter.
Even mom and dad were impressed!

What a fun and full day!
...just making memories, people... making memories!
