21 Years...

Today marks 21 years of being married to my very best friend in the whole world...

The best decision I've ever made!

I Thought I Loved You Then...

I remember trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mesmerized
And 3 weeks later in the front porch light taking 45 min to kiss goodnight
I hadn’t told you yet but I thought I loved you then

Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I remember taking you back to right where I first met you
You were so surprised
There were people around
But I didn’t care I got down on one knee right there
And once again I thought I loved you then

Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I can just see you with a baby on the way
I can just see you when your hair is turning gray
What I can’t see is how I’m ever gonna love you more
But I’ve said that before.

Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Well look back some day at this moment that we’re in
And I'll look at you and say and I thought I loved you then
And I thought I loved you then...

Still going strong...

It was twenty years ago today... Sgt. Pepper told the band to play...
Okay, I just so totally made myself look like an old timer. Anyway... It was twenty years ago today that my beloved and I took vows to love, honor and cherish... until death do us part.
We went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant. This place is so cool and so private, which I love. Each table is like the back of a wagon. The center of the restaurant is like a prairie and each table is the back of a wagon. All of the wagons are backed up to the center where a fire burns and the scene is set with vegetation and animals. You don't see anyone and no one sees you. I love it and we go there often. The decor is very "old west" and comfortable.

After dinner we went for a walk along the river. It was a beautiful evening made all the more glorious by walking hand in hand with the man of my dreams.

20 Years, and counting...

Who would've thunk it?
At the end of the month we will celebrate 20 years of wedded bliss. Now, don't let me confuse you, we worked hard for this. I have to tell you, though, I would not have changed a minute of it. This man loves me. I love this man. We have created an amazing family.
God is truly good!

"For I know the plans I have for you,"
declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future..."
