My Wish...

... that all the little ones
(who have runny noses and nasty coughs)
would wake up in the morning feeling GREAT!

This is the Way...

This little boy is currently suffering from a cold.  Sniffly, sneezy, runny and stuffy... all at the same time.  He wakes up and crawls in his mommy's lap, telling her that he can't breathe through his nose... and this makes him fighting mad.

So, now he is wearing his 6 shooter with a bandana tied around his head like Rambo.

This is the way 4 year old boys fight off a cold.

30 % better today...

We have gone through the ringer this year with sickness!

It is, of course, my turn to have this crud!

I was sent to bed yesterday about 11 a.m.

In fact, as soon as my husband came home from work, he took one look at me and said "Go to bed!" I fought back to the best of my ability and, of course, ended up on bed sleeping, taking my temperature and trying to drink anything that didn't make my poor sore throat run far, far away.

This morning, my husband took the kids (minus Chey, Ari and me) to church. Ari is sneezing and runny nose and not in such a great mood. Chey has to work at noon and we figured that she could be our "nurse" until then.

I am about 30 percent better today than yesterday. Even though all of my joints still ache, I can move. That is a vast improvement.

This is not your typical cold, flu thing. This is accompanied with tons of joint pain and ickiness. I have been hearing from people all over the place that a lot of folks are suffering with something similar. I just wish that it was taking us down one or two at a time! In a family this size, that takes forever to feel like you have a healthy household again. I think if the sun would come out to stay for awhile we might feel better. I have heard that upper 60's are expected for at least one day this week. Yippee! Hopefully we will all be able to get out and enjoy it a little bit.

I hope your families are feeling healthy and happy!

I'm not being blog neglectful...

I just can't seem to get my husband well.

No, really...

I mean, we are used to me being sick all of the time. Although not nearly as much as I used to be.

I just can't get the poor boy completely well!

I thought he was mending and then he came in from work and was oh so sick. Poor honey. He is really congested and his nose is bright red. He said he is really sore, too. I sent him to a hot shower and then straight to bed. Hopefully, just maybe... if I cross my fingers and pray just right and take three steps back for every 5 forward... he may finally get over this.

Poor Aubrey isn't feeling well either. Those two have really shared their germs with each other this winter. Hopefully the rest of us will stay healthy. Although, I did hear Brysen coughing earlier. I had better stay well... who is going to take care of this bunch if we are all down?

Cadi, if we all get sick.... ummm..... will you come spoonfeed soup to your mommy?

Anyway, the whole point is to let you all know that I am not just ignoring the blog... I am being totally selfless... and caring for the sick!

Okay, I'm exhausted...

Where have you been?????

Sick, sick......... SICK!!!

Oh my goodness this was not a fun week. Somehow I managed. No, not somehow... I couldn't have gotten through without the help of my husband and kids who helped out big time.

Thanks Everyone.

Then, the hard drive went kerplunk on the computer so... yeah you can see that this was a pain the backside kind of week.

I am feeling...better and the the computer is running again... Yippee!!!

While I lay in bed hacking, coughing and in general...

falling apart...

Mark took the little ones to the train station and they had a great time!

The kids came home so happy and excited.

They told me that they drove the "choo choo twains".

At least someone was having fun this week.
